Our client is looking for a talented Front End Engineer with 4 to 5 years of coding experience. The successful candidate will develop, build and operate front end dashboards that integrate with the client’s sophisticated large-scale transactional backend systems, as well as lead and mentor the front end team.

The Role 

Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

• Building and developing front end code
• Creating the structure, template or layouts for new projects using frameworks and libraries like Bootstrap, Angular, Ember, React, Vue, Django, Jquery and material design
• Creating dynamic page layouts based on api information
• Creating responsive layouts for all device sizes
• Cross-browser support for all modern browsers
• Implementing basic SEO
• Debugging code for optimum functioning
• Reproducing and locating the source of reported bugs and issues
• Fixing bugs and issues
• Communicating errors and solutions to product owners
• Maintaining front end code
• Managing source code and versioning
• Managing branching and pull requests
• Managing projects
• Providing accurate estimates for new work and assessment for work completed
• Managing tasks in line with project workflow
• Identifying and suggesting user experience improvements
• Planning new projects and page layouts using wireframes
• Working with product owners to plan and execute project sprints
• Keeping up with front end development environment and trends
• Identifying and implementing changes in user experience trends
• Maintaining and improving skill set
• Identifying developmental needs and motivating for additional training
• Providing mentorship to peers and team members
• Thinking strategically around service-oriented architecture
• Participating in code reviews and contribute to the team’s continuous upskilling

Qualifications and Experience

• The stack of choice is Angular but our client is open to applicants who have knowledge in similar Typescript frameworks
• 4 to 5 years’ coding experience
• IT qualification would be an advantage
