Technical Marketing Analyst (Sandton, Gauteng)

Our client is looking for a full-time Technical Marketing Analyst to work within their Enterprise Risk and Innovation division at their head office in Sandton, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Technical Marketing. They will be responsible for supporting technical marketing, coordinating and facilitating all product and related training (head office staff, distribution staff and external stakeholders), general query handling, supporting the product team in developing and implementing new product ideas, ad hoc research and competitor comparisons. 


The Role
Core responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:

  • Researching competitor products and pricing 
  • Ongoing distribution support – calls and emails 
  • Providing feedback to management on new competitor products/marketing developments 
  • Providing feedback to management on own product queries 
  • Conducting regular product and related training to internal and external stakeholders 
  • Designing, developing and maintaining technical product training material 
  • Supporting the product team, including email and telephonic support 
  • Supporting the team in the development and implementation of new products and/or the enhancement of existing products 
  • Developing technical marketing positioning and support for marketing/ press/management  
  • Planning and implementing a training schedule, overseeing process and material  
  • Developing training material 

Qualifications and Experience 

  • At least 3 years’ experience in the life insurance industry in product sales, marketing or training 
  • Tertiary study in the financial planning field and/or CFP would be beneficial 
  • Driver’s licence would be beneficial
